Birthday Boy!

Braden hit the one year mark and I still can't believe that one year ago, last week, Hallie became a big sister, and our family grew by one more, adding our little guy into the mix---who I just adore! He and Hallie are the best of friends and he adds so much happiness to our little family. He is just one big ball of personality. I love seeing him and Drew together. He is just a little "mini-me" of Drew, although I see alot of Hallie in him, as well.

We enjoyed a great family birthday celebration on Thursday. Hallie had a great time helping me make it special for him. On Sunday we invited everyone over for cake and icecream and Braden was in heaven! He dug right in as soon as he got one little taste of all that yummy icing and since he could eat endless amounts of icecream---nothing could be better for that little 1 year old man of mine!

Girls Night

This weekend all of the Myers girls went to dinner. We had to get together and do something fun before Tabitha leaves for PA. We had a great time eating dinner and doing some shopping!

No Tangles!

Drew and Hallie got out of the bath and shower just as I was going to put Braden down for his morning nap today. When I came out I saw Hallie and Drew on the stairs with Drew brushing out her "tangles". I stood there quietly watching Drew while Hallie told him, "I like it when you do it, dad, because you do it soft". I laughed because it just must be the touch. He's offically recruited to brush Hallie's hair! After he was done he told her, "ask mom to see if it looks okay". :o) I appreciate his efforts!...and I know Hallie does, too!

One More

Today I checked out Tabitha's updated blog of Hallie's dance recital and there was a cute picture of Hallie that I am going to steal and add to my blog. I know everyone is probably getting sick of the dance thing but Hallie just looked so cute (the theme of her dance had Hallie written all over it!), and she did such an amazing job! I was so impressed. It just brings back childhood memories of my dance recitals. One class even danced to a song that Tabitha danced to when she was really little. Memory lane... This week she tried out for the competition team for her age group and make it with flying colors! She dances for 90 mins straight on Monday but she LOVES it! I often find her singing and dancing, shaking that little bum, in an aisle of a store or in her room, thinking nobody is watching.

Hallie's Dance Recital

Last night was Hallie's first dance recital and it was so... fun! We had a blast! Braden stayed with a sitter so that Hallie had all the attention and Drew and I LOVED the freedom to just dote on Hallie. We all went to the dress rehersal and Hallie did good, but during the actual performance she was so cute and did AWESOME! Drew and I were so proud of her!

Determination

I pulled Braden out of the tub after he had been in there long enough to have very "wrinkley" fingers, but I guess it just wasn't long enough for him. I let him go, out of the towel, and he went straight back to the tub to jump back in. The tub is pretty high but that wasn't stopping him. I love his little toe hanging on to the tiny ledge on the tub. It was just enough to give him some leverage! The kid totally wears me out!
