Welcome Christmas!

I am finally getting into the Christmas spirit today as I drove home from a church meeting, listening to "Hark the Herald Angels Sing..." I realized just how much I missed singing songs that celebrate our Savior and his birth.

So when I saw these little snowflakes I knew I had to make them. They will probably be the closest thing to snow that my little family will see this year! I think I will hang them along my back sliding door.

Have you seen it?

We went as a family Sat night since the kids took great naps and we had a great time! We loaded up on popcorn and sodas and enjoyed every minute of it. I love it when my kids crack up laughing, while watching a movie! All of us LOVED it! You've got to see it!

Readers Digest Version...but still overloaded...

Well, here we are. Already November and I'm not sure where the time has gone. Christmas is less than 2 months away...CRAZY!! We've been busy, busy the last few months and with the holidays coming, I'm not so sure how much is going to slow down. In a nut shell, here is where the last few months took us, starting from the most recent:

After a year of waiting, we finally went to see Carrie Underwood. Little Big Town opened for her and they were great! Drew got us AMAZING seats on the floor. It was great rockin' with my hubby!

This photo is super dark but can you make out Braden's bat mobile?

Halloween with Bat Woman and the Dark Knight!

Drew finally found an outlet from work by picking up season tickets to the SUNS. The kids (meaning Drew also!) have LOVED heading to the game. It's been great for the little kids to hang with my big kid. Hallie gets to go to the game tomorrow...

Braden at school in his Halloween costume and trick or treating from class to class:

IGolf...from the touch Ipod. Drew and his bro's were diggin' it!

I'm not sure who enjoyed this more...Todd has 4 girls and Jack loves snuggling against warm bodies!

I will be hanging on to this one for blackmail one day! I'd love to stick this in Hallie's Senior Yearbook with a love note... she was devastated that her cousins had just left (3 hours earlier!!!, yet still upset) and the fact that I pulled half her hair out getting out those tiny Mexican braids!

Jane and Braden...

This is classic of my husband...talking business with Todd. This might be typical of Todd too, right Meg?

My kids LOVED having their cousins visit!

Hallie's belated birthday...we celebrated in Mexico but had to have a little American celebration. After we blew out candles she informed me she didn't want cupcakes...sometimes I wonder why I even try! :)

YIPEE!

Yes, this is one of my counters. My whole kitchen looked like this for a while when I tried to reoganize my "pantry" (which is only cabinets).

Those of you who know me well know I LOVE a good deal. For almost a year, I have been coupon clipping and saving in groceries. Tonight I headed to the store after the kids went to bed and this is what I got:

2 Puff Tissues
2 Hot Pocket Calzones
1 Ketchup
4 Aqua Fresh Toothpastes
6 Herbal Essence Shampoo/Cond
2 Deoderants
2 pkg Halls Cough Drops
$6.82 pkg center cut Pork Chops
$10.21 in NY Strip Steaks
$6.74 in Sirloin Steaks
$13.83 in TBone Steaks
4 lbs gala apples

Paid $26.52 SAVED $97.58

The funny thing is, this is not too unusual. I just had time to blog about it tonight! The other day I went to CVS (similar to Walgreens) and bought $37 in medicine & toilettres for only $0.88. I am totally stocked on anything and EVERYTHING we need! The clerk knows me well and laughs every time I am in there. Last time he told me, "you don't shop at CVS, you rob them!" The best part is we have our 3 month supply in everyday foods. I LOVE good deals!
