Back to School!

Last night we had our back to school dinner. Inspiration from here and here. My kids loved it! For dessert we had make-your-own milkshakes. The one thing that Drew requested from my mom when we got married was a milkshake maker. So the kids loaded their cups with the goodies and Drew mixed them together. Although I hate getting up early and homework, I LOVE the excitement of another school year and most of all--- a schedule!! It's so hot here anyways, they may as well be in school. Since we've moved, we are at new schools. Drew and I are so lucky to have kids who make the best of whatever we throw at them and are so quick to make friends.

Drew and I are XM junkies and we are loving Sara Bareilles new song, 'King of Anything'. It's all over XM and the kids love jamming out to it!

The Boys Rocked It!!

This was the first year at EFG (Especially for Grandkids) that the boys joined the girls. They thought they were so cool in their own "boys only" tent! All of them had a great time and we are so grateful for the grandparents who go all out EVERY year!

There are a few times every now and then when I get to really feel the love between my kids (mostly they have a love/hate relationship). I know that this is a phase and hopefully, as they get older, they will nurture, grow, support eachother and truly become more than siblings, but friends. This photo my sil took captures this soft hearted moment perfect with my oldest two. They are truly awesome kids--growing so fast, learning so quickly, and keeping me laughing, daily. Problem is, there are a ton more where this one came from...how do I decide on a favorite?!
